'Powerdress'

Isabel Hospice Collaborative Project

Back in December 2021 I was fortunate enough to work alongside Isabel Hospice in a collaborative fashion design and creation project. The charity gave us fabrics to work with, and we were tasked with creating a costume based on the prompt 'Empowerment'. I chose to centre my project on 1980s power-dressing.

After designing and making the outfit it was sold on the Isabel Hospice website and the money donated to the charity.

I took inspiration from a number of practitioners while researching, including Christian Lacroix, Wendy McWilliams, Helmut Newton and Theirry Mugler. See images below of my response work!
