For my Element 1 final year industry project 'Patterns for Performance', I chose to design and make a costume for the character of Roxie Hart from Maurine Dallas Watkins' 1926 play 'Chicago'. This gripping play is a darkly comedic exploration of crime, corruption, and the pursuit of fame in 1920s Chicago, Illinois.

I had the privilege of speaking to Ruth Watkin, costume maker and tutor, who gave me guidance throughout the process. Find her on Instagram @ruthwatkincostumes
Thank you to Millie Brazier for modelling.
